Songwriting Nights

Songwriter Trysts songwriting nights are a fun safe creative space for songwriting, networking, and creativity. A value of songwriter trysts community is the power of collaboration and supporting and encouraging others. At these nights everyone gets the opportunity to introduce themselves, share where they are at with their songwriting and what they are looking for. We then break up into groups and write a song which is evenly split between everyone in that group on APRA AMCOS after the night. At the end of the night, we share the new song we have just written with the group, finish up with a feedback circle.

I enjoy these night each night is different. I don’t know what to expect. I never know the talent I’ll be teamed up with. We are always learning different skills from each other as we all have varied experience and skill sets. One thing that sets this group apart is that it is not competitive. It’s supportive, and encouraging. The organiser Rae Leigh ensures a safe space for all involved, and genuinely has a heart for the community, artists, and wanting to see each one shine.
